Lately we’ve overheard what’s more than a rumor
They’ve now turned you into a walking computer
In mystery you’d survived a rare brain tumor
Become a legend with fellow Baby Boomers
Although back then they say you’d been a late bloomer
Then ice cold cancer robbed you of your good humor
But priest Science transformed you for the consumer
Placed you on a shelf like a shiny new Hoover
Will they make many of your kind in the future?
Or but bioengineer only a few more?
From our own hubris to the horror we rue for
We’ll have our hope of Progress but wished we knew more
